José Vicente Aguinaco Alemán
Born on July 14, 1919 in Salamanca, Guanajuato.
- He earned his law degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
- He served as a district judge in Yucatán, Aguascalientes, Puebla and Mexico City.
- He served as a Circuit Court judge in the Second Circuit in Toluca, in the Seventh Circuit in the Port of Veracruz and in the Third Circuit in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
- After a successful career in the Federal Judiciary, in 1972 he founded Aguinaco Abogados, together with Fabián Aguinaco Bravo, which he headed until 1995.
- He participated in the drafting and discussion of the amendments to the Mexican Constitution regarding the Federal Judiciary, published in the Official Journal of the Federation on December 31, 1994.
- On February 1, 1995, he was sworn in as a Justice of the Supreme Court, which he chaired, as well as the Federal Judiciary Council, from that date until 1998.
- On August 15, 1998, the Bar Association of the State of Guanajuato awarded him and declared him "Distinguished Guanajuatense".
- On December 3rd of the same year, the Mexican Bar Association awarded him the "National Jurisprudence Award 1998".
- He retired from the Supreme Court on December 1st, 2003, and rejoined Aguinaco Abogados. He passed away on September 30, 2007, in Mexico City.
