Lillian Rabasa Véjar
Lillian’s practice focuses on public law litigation. She has collaborated in cases related to the rights of people with disabilities, migrants’ rights, as well as in various regulatory areas including real estate, health, tax, and access to information.
She has more than seven years of experience in constitutional and administrative counseling and litigation since she entered Aguinaco Abogados, in 2017.
Trajectory
She has participated in real estate, sanitary, tax law and access to information regulation matters.
Lillian has been involved extensively in pro bono practice. She participated for six months in the Human Rights Legal Clinic of the UNAM, in matters related to immigration policy and legislative advocacy on the rights of people with disabilities. She has also contributed in some cases of national relevance on the rights of people with disability, drug policy reform and migrants’ rights.

Pro bono work
Drug Policy Reform litigation. Collaborator in litigation before the Mexican Supreme Court, that recognized the constitutional protection of the personal use of cannabis.
Centro Estratégico de Impacto Social, A.C. (CEIS). Collaborator in several litigations through the foundation.
Rights of people with disabilities. Collaborator in the trial by which the Mexican Supreme Court declared the omission of the federal education authorities and the State of Mexico to implement effective measures to achieve inclusive education (Citlali García Case, 2019).
Human Rights Legal Clinic of the UNAM. Participation in various human rights litigations, specifically on the rights of people with disabilities and migrants’ rights, which are currently pending before the Mexican Supreme Court.
